In 1976, from the ashes of Milkwood, Richard and the Rabbits, Ocasek and Orr, and finally Cap’n Swing (which included Ric Ocasek and Elliott Easton on guitar, and Benjamin Orr as the only lead vocalist) and following the departure of two drummers and the original bass player and with the additions of drummer David Robinson (who would name the band) and multi-instrumentalist Greg Hawkes, The Cars form in Boston.

In 1982, The Doobie Brothers disband.

In 2001, drummer Peter Criss quits KISS for the second time and is replaced, also for the second time, by Eric Singer.
